Rider is the first book in the Mystic Venom MC series. It was a quick read that was filled with a hero who is not afraid of taking charge, and our heroine who does what she needs to keep the roof over her and her little boys head.
Rider sees Rayleighn on his way home from the club one night.. He can not expalain it but there is something about her that calls to him. When he approaches her he can instantly tell that she is special, there is something about her that speaks to him. Rayleighn is a struggling mother who has lived in fear for the last few years. When she meets Rider she is reluctant and a bit apprehensive especially since he is part of an MC. One of the things I loved about this book is that yes there is the insta feelings going on there is also the apprehensiveness from Rayleighn. She may be young, but she took a step back and thought about what the repercussions would be if certain things did/did not happen. Eventhough, she is young she did not jump into anything with out thinking things through.
Their road isn’t as twisted as some, but they do have a few obstacles they need to overcome.
This is very light on the MC and focuses more on the couple themselves. We get to see the inner struggle these two deal with while figuring out how to be a couple. I can see this turning into a whole series since we got to meet a few of the other members.
