During the day he rules his enterprise and rules his mafia empire at night. He is a little aloof, but when he lays eyes on the newest receptionist in the lobby a switch is flipped inside him. He can not explain it and tries hard not to think too much of it it until he can not help but to realize she is his!
When Kiara lands her very first good paying job at Byrne she is ecstatic! She is going to be making great money and will be able to help with her father’s doctor bills. What starts out as the best thing to ever happen to her quickly spirals into one of her biggest regrets. The chemistry between these two is unmistakable. She is the light to his dark, and he is the dark to her light. They fit perfectly together.
The story flows really well and the characters are well written. I love it when the author builds a world that pulls you in and keeps you captivated. I know this is the 2nd book in the series, but the way this series is written there could be spin off books with secondary characters.
