Sheriff’s Secret is our introduction to the little town Brig’s Ferry Bay. In this story we get Jax and Dante’s story. You need to prepare yourself for all the emotions you will experience while reading this. K. Webster does an amazing job of writing world that pulls you right in. You will fall in love with this town and the people who live here.
Ok on with my review…
Our town Sheriff Jax has known for a very long time that he is gay. As it says in the blurb it states he is not bi, curious, and/or straight. He fears what his dad and the town would think if they this information were to come out. Dante is our hero from the big city who lives his life in the open, and is comfortable with who he is. When these two initially meet Jax is determined to try and shut out Dante in anyway that he can. I think oil and water would mix better than these two. When the sparks between these two begin to ignite there is no denying them. Jax’s inner turmoil broke my heart a few times. I love how Dante worms his way in and shows Jax what his life could be like if he would just break the walls down that he has built up around himself. My heart broke for Jax. No one should be ashamed to be who they are. or love who they love. Dante is my her in the fact that he pulls Jax out of his head and shows him that it is perfectly fine to be who you are meant to be.
While each book can be read as a standalone, to get the full experience, they’re best read in order.
