Two people drifting through life—one on a firmly established plan, the other with no plans at all.
Both believing they know exactly what they want.
But what happens when a chance encounter is so electrifying that everything they believe is threatened with destruction?
Suddenly fixated on each other. Will it make them stronger? Or will everything come crashing down?
An addiction so strong, the high will be unforgettable, but the inevitable low will be devastating.
Ari’s 🎩🎩🎩🎩🎩 hat review:
Nicole Dykes has done it again! Her latest book, Fixation is so unputdownable it’s straight up addictive! The book is classic Nicole: a yummy, asshole hero, delicious angst, fantastic banter, and holy hell is there steeeeaaammm! Two words, folks: window scene!
Elle and Blake are an awesome couple. Their chemistry exploded off the page. It’s freaking electric! I looooved Elle. She’s strong, says it like it is, fun, driven, a total planner, and the girl is fellow collector of book-boyfriends. She can most definitely sit with us. Then we have Blake. He’s a sexy af jerk drifting through life, but underneath he’s so much more. His character arc was great, yet he owns who he is all along the way and never wants to change Elle. If anything, he grows to accommodate her. *cue all the damn swoons* I loved watching these two dance around each other, collide, and then GROW into something more. These two were fire.
Sprinkled in we get small glimpses of characters from Nicole’s previous series’. If you’ve met them it’s such a treat and if you haven’t you’ll definitely want to!
Fixation is addictive and steamy with amazing banter and characters who will make you root for them. Seriously, if you haven’t read a Nicole Dykes novel this is most definitely the place to start. 5 stars.
